The food, the drink, the treatment itself has to be exceptional. In a room you'll remember without photographing it. With service that notices your empty wine glass before you do. Among a crowd you'd actually want to know. And the right atmosphere, the one thing you can't fake. A place either has it or it doesn't.

Europe is over 40 countries and around 800 cities, and most people know one of them well. However, a certain few live across all of them. Well connected and rarely still, they move between Europe's capitals and expect the best of each.

The problem is there has never been more to choose from, and the right choice is rarely obvious. Harder still when somewhere new opens every week.

The places, the experiences, the people, kept city by city and beholden to no one. Europe is large but the list is short.
